Cult of the Lamb: Woolhaven is the big paid expansion (DLC) for the beloved cult-building roguelike Cult of the Lamb, released on January 22, 2026. It expands the base game with new story content, gameplay systems, environments, enemies, and challenges centered around the ancestral home of the lambs in the frozen mountains.

What Woolhaven Is

Woolhaven is an expansion DLC for Cult of the Lamb that adds a major new region, narrative arc, mechanics, and progression after you’ve completed much of the base game.
It takes place in Woolhaven, the ancestral home of the lambs, a desolate mountain village once ruled by the giant sheep Goddess of Winter, Yngya.
The area has been devastated—its buildings lie in ruins and its residents were killed in a massacre. As the player (the Lamb), you work to restore this place and uncover its history.

New Setting & Story

A lost deity, the winter goddess Yngya, beckons you to the mountains to rebuild the flock and uncover the truth behind the fallen lambs.
The DLC deepens the lore of Cult of the Lamb, building around themes of memory, loss, survival, and the past’s influence on the present.

Key Features & Gameplay Additions

Frozen Environment & Weather
Harsh winter weather is a core mechanic: snowstorms, freezing temperatures, and blizzards impact follower survival, farming, and production. You’ll need heaters, new resources, and thoughtful planning to keep cultists alive.

Rebuilding Woolhaven
You can restore homes and structures in the village using resources like Pure Yewbark, unlocking shops, sidequests, and base functionality.

New Dungeons & Enemies
The expansion adds at least two new dungeons in the mountain region with unique enemies, bosses, and challenges.

Ranching & Animals
Woolhaven introduces ranching mechanics: you can raise animals like yaks and turtle-like beasts for wool, food, and warmth, and even ride them.

New Structures and Management
New buildings such as the Exorcism Altar and Work Tent expand cult management and allow deeper control of follower traits and jobs.

Expanded Content
Additional follower forms, decorations, buildings, weapons, and items are included to round out the expansion.

How It Fits Into the Game
Woolhaven is designed as a late-game expansion: you unlock access after defeating key bosses in the original campaign and meeting certain prerequisites.
It extends the life of Cult of the Lamb by providing substantial story content and systems that are almost as large as a standalone game.
