Story & Setting
You play as a Revenant hunter in a collapsing world where the balance between humans and Revenants has broken. A catastrophic force has twisted many Revenants into mindless monsters known as Horrors.
The big narrative hook this time: you travel with a mysterious girl named Lou, who can manipulate time. That lets the story jump between eras as you try to prevent the world’s ruin and change what becomes inevitable.
Gameplay (What You Actually Do)
- Souls-like combat: timing, stamina management, punishing enemies, and big boss fights.
- Blood-based abilities: you fight using weapons + supernatural powers tied to your build.
- Partner system: AI companions matter—your synergy and loadout choices can change fights.
- Progression & customization: build variety through gear, upgrades, and ability choices.
- Exploration: larger environments than the original, with more room to roam and discover.
If you liked the first game mainly for the character creator + build variety, Code Vein II doubles down on that style.
Editions (Simple)
You’ll typically see a Standard edition plus higher tiers (like Deluxe/Ultimate) that add cosmetic packs and extra digital content. Always compare editions before buying if you care about bonus outfits/weapon skins.
