Story & Setting
You play as Lincoln Clay, a Vietnam War veteran in 1968 New Bordeaux, a fictional open-world city inspired by New Orleans. After his surrogate family in the Black mob is betrayed and murdered by the Italian Mafia, Lincoln sets out on a path of revenge and revenge-driven empire building.
The story blends personal revenge with crime family politics and asks you to recruit and manage lieutenants as you tear down the old Mafia empire and build your own.

Gameplay
Mafia III is an open-world action game with shooter and stealth elements:
Third-person combat: gunplay and cover mechanics against rival gangs.
Open-world exploration: drive or walk around New Bordeaux’s districts, each with its own vibe and criminal activity.
Choice-driven expansion: assign rackets and missions to your chosen lieutenants, shaping how your “family” grows.
